BIOGRAPHY

Raymond studied oil painting under the guidance of well-known Chinese oil painters Tang Xiaoming and Chen Yanning. He once worked as an art designer in a TV station in China and studied Tu Zhiwei's oil painting portrait course at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China. He is skilled in portraits, having a strong sense of the overall subject, and expresses a natural feel with vivid strokes in his technique.

Raymond is a member of the American Impressionism Society (AIS). He has submitted artworks to the 2021 AIS Associate Members Online Exhibition and the 22nd Annual AIS National Exhibition, and has been selected both times amongst thousands of entries. His artwork "Long-Haired Girl" has been selected for the 2021 AIS Associate Members Online Exhibition, and his artwork "Staring into the Distance" has been selected for the 22nd Annual AIS National Exhibition in Omaha, Nebraska and has won the Award of Merit at the show.

Painting has been a passion for Raymond since young. He is a father of two adult children, and resides in Queens, New York with his wife Jenny and their pet Frenchie Jake.
